Meet Dr. Jessie Vallée

Dr. Jessie Vallée has spent the majority of her career balancing private practice with being a dental educator, researcher, and lecturer. She held the position of Curriculum Director in the Department of Integrated Reconstructive Dental Sciences at University of the Pacific School of Dentistry for many years prior to moving to Menlo Park and taking over the practice of Dr. Jan C. Gabus.

After graduating from the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in 2004, Dr. Vallée spent three years in the United States Navy. There she completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency and served tours in Iraq, Kuwait, and Japan in Naval Mobile Construction Battalion THREE (The Fighting Seabees!).

Upon departing Naval Service in 2007, Dr. Vallee returned to private practice in the Bay Area. She also returned to her alma mater, UOP, to teach one day a week in the Occlusion and TMJ preclinical course (the study of the function of jaws and teeth). She soon immersed herself as a full-time faculty member, leading the fixed prosthodontics course (crowns and bridges) and managing clinical groups. Eventually, Dr. Vallée became part of the department's leadership and oversaw the modernization and integration of the restorative curriculum.

In addition to spending a decade as an educator, Dr. Vallée has maintained a robust, part-time private practice in Greenbrae, CA, practicing family and general dentistry, and most recently practiced in Atherton, CA. She has published and lectured on the topics of ceramic and composite materials, excellence and best practices in restorative dentistry, women in dental leadership, and curriculum design and assessment. She authored two chapters of the textbook, Esthetic Dentistry in Clinical Practice, 2010. (Blackwell)

Dr. Vallée is excited to commit herself to her community and patients in her new hometown. Along with her husband Mike and daughter Mila, Dr. Vallée moved from San Francisco to Menlo Park in November of 2016 and was inspired by the deep sense of community. They welcomed her second daughter, Sofia, on January 4th, 2018.

She joined the practice of Dr. Gabus in July of 2017 and purchased the practice on February 28th, 2018, when Dr. Gabus retired. Dr. Vallée is looking forward to caring for patients with the same level of compassion, care, expertise, and precision as Dr. Gabus. She is committed to building a trusting, transparent relationship with each one of her patients, in order to make informed decisions together. She will spend the time to make certain patients fully understand their oral health needs and all the options available to them. She is excited to bring new technologies, techniques, and procedures to the practice.

In her few moments of free time, Dr. Vallee enjoys sewing and apparel design and playing with her daughters.
